Chamba valley is a collective name of Bharmour, Dalhousie, Khajjiar & many other forest covered far located areas in this part of Himalayas. It is a home of variety of flora & fauna. Nature walk is itself a kind of bath in the most pristine form of creation by Mother Earth. We design this package considering in mind that you will enjoy the walk in far located deep valleys, seeing the culture & lifestyle of simple yet vibrant Himalayan villages and get to know different flora & fauna of the valley. We also will take you to Chamba down-town where you will get the chance to know incredible Chamba dynasty & historical stories by our guide. Ravi (River originates from here) is said to be the daughter of Chamba in many Himachali songs.
Detailed itinerary for Walk & Explore - Weekend in Dalhousie
You have to reach our at our camp located at Panchpula in Dalhousie. Check in & relax. Later in second half, get ready to walk a bit for an exercise of your camera. It will be a nature walk of around 3 to 4 hours near Dalhousie town. Camp fun, bonfire & dinner.
Morning after breakfast we will walk. Lakkar Mandi - from here we will walk to Kalatop to begin our walk for Khajjiar. This is the most picturesque walk in the region. It is a full day hike of around 11 Kms which will take nearly morning to evening. The walk is covered with dense forest and amazing wildlife. We will stop for packed-lunch in the forest on the bank of a fresh water channel. This glacier-fed stream is a prime source of water to every animal in the forest such as Himalayan Brown Beer, specious of rare birds etc.
Morning after breakfast we will take a local bus and reach to Chamba. Check in at Hotel HritikPalace & later we will take a walking sightseeing tour in the town. Chamba once the wealthiest region in Himalayas cherish the historical stories. You will enjoy this history walk. Our guide will brief you about Chamba dynasty & the stories behind. Dinner & overnight.
After breakfast in Chamba, you will be free on your own.

We will pick you from railway station/ bus stand from Dalhousie. Our pick up team will be there waiting for you bewteen morning 5 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. In case you are late you need to be in touch with our trek coordinator mentioned in the booking voucher.
