Open the map, set the route, carry your sleeping bag, tents & eatables and go far away in the wilderness of Chamba region where you have to survive by yourself. A nice quote from forest “Survival of the fittest is the nature of wilderness” Experience your time in the forest to know the most pristine lifestyle inside, far from noise & crown right in the lap of nature. It is a gradual, up & down hill hikes in forest. It is not a hardcore trek where you will meet with pristine form of Himalayan Nature.

You have to reach to Dalhousie by yourself. There are many options from Delhi, Chandigarh, Pathankot & Amritsar to reach Dalhousie. Try to reach before 12 noon so that we can spend this day smoothly. On your arrival our team will sit with you & brief you our route. We will provide you a light weight tent & sleeping bag. (we request you to carry your own rucksack – carry suitcase is not a good idea for hiking tour). After all we will depart from Dalhousie to Dani Kund by sharing car & from here, we will start our trek to Jot Hill top camping site. It will be a walk of around 6 KMS – 3 – 4 hours. In the evening, reaching at Jot Hill Top & pitch your tent. Dinner, bonfire (if possible) & overnight.

Morning after breakfast we walk start our hike to Hanuman Ghodi. It is the most pristine hike in Dhauladhar mountains. The views are really breathtaking. Its around 7 Kms gradual walk (little up & little down in the hills). Reaching here in then evening we will find the water source & pitch up our tent nearby. Evening camp fun, collect the woods & enjoy bonfire self. Dinner & overnight in the tents

Morning after breakfast & leisure. Later we will walk down to Devi Dera and from this village we will take a local bus to reach Chamba town and here finally our tour will end up here with happy notes & fond memories of wilderness.

Detailed itinerary for Survival in Forest

1
Day 01 – Arrive Dalhousie / Dani Kund / Jot Hill
Test

You have to reach to Dalhousie by yourself. There are many options from Delhi, Chandigarh, Pathankot & Amritsar to reach Dalhousie. Try to reach before 12 noon so that we can spend this day smoothly. Morning after breakfast & leisure. Later we will walk down to Devi Dera and from this village we will take a local bus to reach Chamba town and here finally our tour will end up here with happy notes & fond memories of wilderness.

  • No refund of unused activities
  • No refund if due to bad weather or political moment, the paragliding, hiking & rafting activities are not operational
  • Please avoid taking this package during winter months of Dec, Jan & Feb

We will pick you from railway station/ bus stand from Dalhousie. Our pick up team will be there waiting for you bewteen morning 5 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. In case you are late you need to be in touch with our trek coordinator mentioned in the booking voucher.

How to reach Dalhousie : <p>By Self</p>

We understand that there could be unforeseen circumstance under which a traveller has to cancel his trip. However a trip booking and planning also incur some cost from our end. Keeping in mind mutual benefit of India camps travel community we have designed cancellation poilicy of this tour.

  • Cancel up to 30 days before trek start date and get full refund.
  • Cancel up to 15 days before trek start date and get 70% refund.
  • Cancel up to 7 days before trek start date and get 50% refund.
  • Cancel within 7 days of trek start date and the cost of the full reservation is non-refundable.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days from the date of cancellation.
  • In case of refund, 2.5% (Payment processing charges) will be applicable.
