Once upon a time, Manali was popularly known as the adventure capital of the world because of numerous trails and hiking it has to offers to the all kind of adventure lover. There are many adventure that one can opt in Kullu Valley or Manali regions, be it Paragliding, white water Rafting in River Beas or mountaineering or trekking. Here lies Lamadugh Hike, in the heart of Manali town and not so far from Old Manali or Mall Road. Lamadugh is a scenic hiking in Dhauladhar Mountains which offers you stunning view of Pir Panjal Mountain range on another side. From the top of Lamadugh Hike, there are plenty of nearby peaks visible such as Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peaks and Shitidhar. From Lamadugh, one captures the entire valley in its fullest form. Manali town lies around 1950 Meter and Lamadugh is 3050 Meter height. So these 1000 meters is quite steep, tiring but beautiful through tall pine forest, varieties of wild flowers, big boulders patch and much more.

To reach Manali, you have several transport options that include a combination of buses, trains, and flights, with the nearest airport at Bhuntar and the nearest railway stations at Ambala and Chandigarh. In the morning, reach the famous Hadimba Temple, sharp at 10:00 AM to commence your trek to Lamadugh. The steep trail will cross thick forests of deodar and pine. Do not forget to carry enough water bottles and a packed lunch, as there is no water source between Manali and Lamadugh, which is five hours away. The trail offers a magnificent glimpse of Manali, located on the left bank of River Beas. The entire upper Kullu valley with its vibrant colors, is clearly visible en route.
Your trip ends on this day. After breakfast, check out from your camp in Old Manali. You have the option to explore attractions like the Solang Valley, Vashisht Hot Springs, and Jogini Falls – one of the highest waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh. You can also visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Mall Road, Kasol, Manikaran, and many other places. You could also indulge in adventure sports like paragliding, white water rafting, trout fishing, river crossing, rock climbing, rappelling, bike riding, and more. During the evening, you need to board the Volvo bus for your onward journey from Manali, by 04:00 PM. Hence, plan your activities accordingly.
