Lamadugh is a scenic hiking in Dhauladhar Mountains which offers you stunning view of Pir Panjal Mountain range on another side. From the top of Lamadugh Hike, there are plenty of nearby peaks visible such as Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peaks and Shitidhar. From Lamadugh, one captures the entire valley in its fullest form. Manali town lies around 1950 Meter and Lamadugh is 3050 Meter height. So these 1000 meters is quite steep, tiring but beautiful through tall pine forest, varieties of wild flowers, big boulders patch and much more.

Detailed itinerary for Lamadugh Hike in Manali

Day 01 Manali to Hadimba Temple and easy trek to Lamadugh (7 kms/ 5 hours).

To reach Manali, you have several transport options that include a combination of buses, trains, and flights, with the nearest airport at Bhuntar and the nearest railway stations at Ambala and Chandigarh. In the morning, reach the famous Hadimba Temple, sharp at 10:00 AM to commence your trek to Lamadugh. The steep trail will cross thick forests of deodar and pine. Do not forget to carry enough water bottles and a packed lunch, as there is no water source between Manali and Lamadugh, which is five hours away. The trail offers a magnificent glimpse of Manali, located on the left bank of River Beas. The entire upper Kullu valley with its vibrant colors, is clearly visible en route.

Day 02 Trek from Lamadugh campsite to Manali (7 kms or 4 hours) and drop back to Manali.

Your trip ends on this day. After breakfast, check out from your camp in Old Manali. You have the option to explore attractions like the Solang Valley, Vashisht Hot Springs, and Jogini Falls – one of the highest waterfalls in Himachal Pradesh. You can also visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Mall Road, Kasol, Manikaran, and many other places. You could also indulge in adventure sports like paragliding, white water rafting, trout fishing, river crossing, rock climbing, rappelling, bike riding, and more. During the evening, you need to board the Volvo bus for your onward journey from Manali, by 04:00 PM. Hence, plan your activities accordingly.

We will pick you from railway station/ bus stand from Manali. Our pick up team will be there waiting for you bewteen morning 5 A.M. to 7:30 A.M. In case you are late you need to be in touch with our trek coordinator mentioned in the booking voucher.

We understand that there could be unforeseen circumstance under which a traveller has to cancel his trip. However a trip booking and planning also incur some cost from our end. Keeping in mind mutual benefit of India camps travel community we have designed cancellation poilicy of this tour.

  • Cancel up to 30 days before trek start date and get full refund.
  • Cancel up to 15 days before trek start date and get 70% refund.
  • Cancel up to 7 days before trek start date and get 50% refund.
  • Cancel within 7 days of trek start date and the cost of the full reservation is non-refundable.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days from the date of cancellation.
  • In case of refund, 2.5% (Payment processing charges) will be applicable.
