This 5-day journey through Chamba Valley begins from Mcleod Ganj and offers you the chance to travel across the Dhauladhar scopes of Himachal Pradesh. The feature of the trip is a hybrid through Indrahar Pass at an elevation of 14,245 feet, which gives you the awesome perspectives on Kangra and Chamba valleys. This trip takes you through the woods of oak, rhododendron and pine trees. You will stroll close by chilly streams with thick ice blocks skimming on it, climb through verdant knolls and see the way of life of the Gaddi public - the shepherds crossing the Chamba Valley
Reach our Base Camp at Dharmakot, freshen up and then we will start our Trek at around 10 am.It is a
beautiful walk through mixed forests of the deodar, oak and rhododendron. Triund is situated on a ridge with a beautiful view of whole Kangra valley on one side and Dhauladhar mountain range on the other side. First 2km is a steep ascent but there is a gradual ascent after Galu Devi temple. The last 1 km is again a steep ascent through the forest. Triund is a flat meadow on top of a ridge. From here one can witness panoramic view of Dhauladhar range on one side and Kangra valley on the other is a memorable sight. Overnight stay in tents. After a short ascent from Triund traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got – a temporary shephard camp. Laka Got is situated at the snout of a small glacier , which is full of snow and ice in early summer and the snow melts away during the monsoon. So we will also have some activities on snow.Night stay in the camp at Laka Got. Start early in the morning, the weather gets bad in the afternoon. In the early summer (April to May) the trail is full of snow and ice and require good equipment. During post monsoon (September to November) there is no snow or ice and there is narrow trail going up to the pass. It takes about three to four hours to reach the pass and another three hours to come down. From the pass entire Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas is a sight to behold.
Detailed itinerary for Chamba Valley Trek

Report at the headquarters in Dharamkot. Spruce up. The track goes through blended timberland of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees. Initial 2 km is a lofty climb yet there is a slow rising after Galu Devi sanctuary. The last 1 km is again a lofty climb through the backwoods. Triund is a level glade on top of an edge. From here all encompassing perspective on Dhauladhar range on one side and Kangra valley on the other is an important sight. Lunch will be served in transit. Night stay in tents.In the evening, a Camp fire will be coordinated and snacks alongside soup/tea/espresso will be served, trailed before supper.

Following day early morning tea/espresso will be served during the tents. Breakfast will be served and after that we will begin our Trek. This is an acclimatization day. After a short rising from Triund navigate an edge to arrive at Laka Got – a transitory shepherd camp. Laka Got is arranged at the nose of a little icy mass , which is loaded with day off - ice in late-spring and the snow dissolves away during the rainstorm. Night stay in camp at Laka Got. Later supper will be served.

This is vital day and everybody needs to rise early morning and need to have early morning Breakfast. Start promptly toward the beginning of the day, the climate gets awful in the early evening. From Laka Got it is a precarious climb for 2 km over a rough edge and we will arrive at Lahes Caves. At the higher heights there is a precarious 300 - 400 m rising towards the peak of the Dhauladhar, before a 1 km navigate just beneath the edge to the Indrahar Pass. From the pass one can see Pir Panjal Range in the north and Mani Mahesh Kailash (5656 M) top in the east. Drop from the pass to Chatru Parao. Supper and overnight in tents.

Proceed down the genuine right of the valley and subsequent to intersection a progression of knolls at last plummets to Kuarsi. Supper and overnight in tents/homestay.
